ct2pgm is a utility program for the generation of 8-bit portable graymap (PGM) or 1-bit b/w portable bitmap (PBM) files from a raw CT image file.

There is a ready-to-use executable of ct2pgm already built for SUNOS5 (SOLARIS) users, and the source code is also available .

ct2pgm lets you process raw CT image files to filter parts which are in a given range of density (houndsfield measuring). It may be part of an 3D reconstrution with a set of sliced CT images which are afterwards contour traced, perhaps wit h PBM2CNT a b/w bitmap contour tracing tool.
